Introduction


Kentia palm is a species of palm trees(Arecaceae) endemic to Lard Howe Island of Australia. They are also commonly known as thatch palm and sentry palm. Its scientific or botanic name is Howea forsteriana.

Care:


Light: Older specimens of kentia palm can tolerate direct sunlight, however younger ones should be placed in indirect sunlight areas. They grow best in partial and indirect sunlight.

Water: They should be watered before the soil around them dries completely.

Soil: They can tolerate a wide variety of soils, but grow them in rich soil that is very well drained.

Fertilizer: Fertilize in summers for a better health and growth.
